Alta Badia is a place to enjoy some really memorable events. You can take part in many different events during your stay at the Hotel Marmolada, either in winter or in summer.

Maratona dles Dolomites

The Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel is a cycling marathon over the mountain passes, starting and finishing in Alta Badia.

There are three distinct routes to choose from, along roads closed to motorised traffic. The long marathon route covers 138 km and involves a 4230-metre difference in height; the medium route is 106 km with a 3139-metre difference in height, while the short Sella Ronda route is 55 km with a 1780-metre height difference.

Save the date: first Sunday in July.

Sellaronda Bike Day

Another important appointment for cycling enthusiasts is Sellaronda Bike Day, a non-competitive event and open to all.

On this day, the famous Sellaronda circuit of the passes in the Sella group is strictly reserved for cyclists, who come with their racing bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, tandems, unicycles, and even classic velocipedes.

Dolomites Bike Day

This is another great Dolomite cycling event, which involves riding over the Valparola, Falzarego and Campolongo passes, but it is also non-competitive and suitable for cyclists at every level.

As with the Sellaronda Bike event, the 51-km route is closed to vehicles on Dolomites Bike Day, and so left free for cyclists. It makes another incredible way to explore the Ladin valleys of Val Badia, Livinallongo and Ampezzo.

Audi FIS Ski World Cup

The Gran Risa slope at La Villa provides the setting for one of the most important and highly anticipated events of the winter: Men's Ski World Cup.

The Gran Risa hosts the men's Alpine Ski World Cup competitions and is considered one of the most challenging and exciting slopes in the Alps.
